Welder/Fabricator III (Metal Fabricator) | 1st Shift

Pay: $28-$35/hour

Schedule: Flexible 1st Shift (Start between 5:00-6:00 AM, End between 3:00-4:00 PM) | Built-in overtime with 45-hour work weeks | Open to 3rd Shift candidates

• Independently layout, fit, fabricate, weld, and finish complex structural steel and miscellaneous metal assemblies from detailed shop drawings and specifications.
• Perform advanced MIG and/or TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other materials while maintaining high-quality workmanship and compliance with applicable welding procedures and codes.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, weld symbols, bill of materials, tolerances, and fabrication details to identify production challenges and ensure project accuracy.
• Execute precision fabrication work involving multi-piece assemblies, compound angles, architectural metals, structural steel components, and tight dimensional tolerances.
• Inspect completed work for dimensional accuracy, weld integrity, fit, finish, and overall quality while troubleshooting fabrication and welding issues as needed.
• Utilize advanced fabrication and inspection tools including digital levels, calipers, angle finders, templates, gauges, and specialty measuring equipment.
• Serve as a technical leader within the shop by mentoring junior welders/fabricators, providing training on welding techniques, blueprint reading, fit-up methods, safety practices, and quality standards.

Ideal candidates will have advanced fabrication experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, and proven MIG and/or TIG welding expertise in a structural steel or custom metal fabrication environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lancaster, PA.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
