We are on the lookout for a compassionate and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dedicated care team at Do It For Yourself Wellness & Marriage & Family Counseling. This full-time remote position gives you the opportunity to leverage your expertise in various therapy modalities while specifically focusing on divorce and relationship counseling. If you possess a strong foundation in therapeutic approaches such as structural family therapy, strategic therapy, systems therapy, narrative therapy, trans-generational therapy, or communication therapy, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities\n

Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a wide range of duties aimed at evaluating and addressing client needs effectively. This will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.
\n
• Collaborating with clients to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific requirements, therapeutic goals, and preferences.
\n
• Employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate meaningful progress.

• Educating clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and essential self-care practices to support their well-being.
\n
• Monitoring client progress diligently, with appropriate adjustments made to treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
\n
• Partnering with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment strategies for clients.
\n
• Staying up to date with the latest research and advances in mood disorder treatments to enhance therapeutic approaches.
\n
• Maintaining confidential and accurate documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring integrity in client records.

• Participating in team meetings and case consultations to share insights and foster continuous improvement in service delivery.

• Advocating for clients’ rights and needs, helping to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working primarily with individuals and families facing complex relational challenges, including divorce and other significant life transitions. The clinic serves a diverse patient population from the Stockton area, reflecting a wide range of cultural backgrounds, experiences, and mental health needs. Your role will contribute significantly to the emotional and relational well-being of clients, enabling them to navigate difficult times with support and understanding.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• Demonstrated ability to create a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship through outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

• Empathy, sympathy, and a nonjudgmental approach toward clients’ unique challenges and experiences.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage caseloads and administrative responsibilities.

Preferred Experience\n

While the minimum qualifications provide a baseline, we prefer candidates with experience in:

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, based on qualifications, experience, and performance. In addition, we provide:
